Here I am, a dull Wednesday evening, in bed at 11pm scrolling Instagram relentlessly whilst Ross flicks between about 100 different TV channels and suddenly Stradivarius’ new summer campaign has me hooked. Five minutes later I’ve got 6 items in my bag and about to be £100 odd lighter. Oh wow marketing gets me every time.
If you like Spanish fashions and you’re a lover of everything Zara, Stradivarius is essentially Zara’s younger, fun sister. All under the Inditex group, Spanish fashions at the moment seem to be taking us by a storm and they offer everything from sophisticated and mature – Massimo Dutti to young, vibrant and affordable – Pull & Bear. I like to think that Stradivarius is a happy medium between the fun of Pull & Bear and the style of Zara – all collated for wallet-friendly price which epitomises fast fashion.
Back to why I’m now creeping into my overdraft… it’s all beautiful. Flooded with boxy shapes, clean lines and an ice cream palette – this collection has summer days in the park written all over it. It’s taken a lot from the current obsessions with stripes, paper-bag waistlines and tortoise shell key pieces.
Enough justification from me – here are five pieces which I’m drooling over…
